Aaliyah Haughton made headlines after 1994 when she debuted her first album Age Ain't nothing but a number. Her album, which was released when she only had fifteen years old, went Gold. The album was an album that was heavily inspired by R. Kelly and it put the singer in the spotlight. In the year 1996 Jermaine and Timbaland came out with Aaliyah's sophomore album One In A Million. It contained If You Girls Only Knew the most-sold single. Following the success of this album, Aaliyah won international acclaim for her performance as an R&B singer. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar as her professional names. Her acting career began in early 2000 with small appearances on television and in films. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). In addition, she has appeared in important commercials for brands like Volvo, an international auto producer. The actress currently resides at Los Angeles along with her husband, daughter and pursues her acting profession.
